Nightfall Conference & BORG 107FL with Fuji GFX 100

The Borrego Springs’s night sky was great! It was too bad I didn’t prepare for my imaging gear. This was my 1st appearance. So I didn’t know about that. Definitely I will take my personal equipment next year.
Fuji’s sale rep showed up and was demonstrating most of their cameras and lenses. Here are pictures with GFX 100 (= 100MP 55mm diagonal sensor)

As far as I know, this should be 1st attempt in the world to attach GFX 100 with a telescope in fully completed mode. Simon did before. But it was without a camera rotator. So this is completely ready to use.

This is a cropped 100% resolution. I just focused thru a viewfinder. So I wasn’t sure it was completely in focus. Also leaves were moving around by the wind. But looks in focus and shutter speed was high enough. At least no false color at the edge of the leaves.
BTW, Fuji was free(I think) loaner program during the event. If someone are interested in testing around Fuji X-mount or GFX-mount cameras and lenses, this should be the best time to go. I’m not sure Fuji’s sale rep will come next year though. I hope they will do. Definitely I will take my gear and wish to play around GFX 100 nighttime.
Simon at Woodland Hills took some astro shots by BORG 107FL and his own GFX 100(!). Wow! he bought it himself. As soon as I get the result from him, I will share with you here. Each corner shows star distortions when we looked into in 100% res mode. But that was what anticipated and wasn’t major issue in my personal opinion. At least I’m sure we can fully enjoy astro imaging entire 645 sensor at F3.9 speed.

I will arrange more items next year
